This club was founded October 27th, 1930 by Mr. Armand Marquis and is named after the Marquis of Lafayette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Code of Conduct<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All members and guests of the Lafayette Club are expected to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Members must use their magnetic key-card to gain access to the Club.  This card must be on you at all times to be served per the Liquor Commissioner. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Treat all members, guests, and property with courtesy and respect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Observe the Guest sign-in policy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Handle all interpersonal financial transactions directly with the involved parties \u2013 not through the bar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Attend private parties in the function hall only if invited by an authorized party guest or host.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Abide by the decision of the Bartender.  If the Bartender stops serving you, you will be asked to leave and you must not drive.  Driving when instructed not to do so may result in a six month suspension (first offense), at the discretion of the Board.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The following are not permitted or tolerated in the club or on the premises:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Physical violence or aggression.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Loud, abusive, offensive, or foul language.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Possession, distribution or use of Illegal drugs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Marring, damaging or defacing Club property.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Theft of Club, Member or Guest property.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. The carrying of firearms.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
